U.S. Department of Education’s Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) Training

The U.S. Department of Education’s Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) is pleased to invite you to our next planned training event, which will be held on April 25th, 2019 in partnership with the Kansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO) and the Kansas Board of Regents (KBOR).  The event will be hosted at the El Dorado campus of Butler Community College.

PTAC was established in 2010 as a “one-stop” resource for education stakeholders to learn about data privacy, confidentiality, and security practices related to student-level data systems and other uses of student data.

PTAC’s on-site events are planned as all-day training sessions with presentations on a variety of topics related to student privacy, including the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), data security best practices, the privacy implications of educational technology in the classroom and an interactive data breach simulation. There is no cost to attend this event.
